Hello! With a small internal team, TFFP is an organization that is fully sustained by volunteer fiber artists who donate their talents in making bears to meet our Mission. We’d love to meet you!

Our Mission: Every child deserves the companionship of their very own teddy bear, regardless of circumstances.

What began with a focus on children in the foster care system, The Foster Friends Project expanded to pair every child in vulnerable and unstable life circumstances with a lovingly homemade, unique teddy bear of their very own– and delivered in a backpack that can help them transport what belongings they may have. Children in foster care, domestic violence shelters, affected by disasters, and caught in global conflict are just a few circumstances that we currently serve.

*Our bears are not mass produced or made with a machine. Each bear is brought to life by a fiber artist who spends time, energy, and resources-and infuses them with their love- for each and every child. As all children are beautifully special, so is each bear.

Currently in the United States there are over 391,000 children in foster care. The majority, find it difficult to experience any stability or consistency in their world.
